Liebe Freunde und Bad Homburger,
gestern und heute die ersten Tage im Büro. Nach fünf Wochen Urlaub ist das immer erst einmal eine Umstellung. Dieses Mal war einiges anders. Alle anderen Kolleginnen und Kollegen arbeiten weitgehend im Home Office. Alleine auf der Büro-Etage, habe ich neben dem wöchentlichen Blumengießen auch das tägliche Öffnen aller Wasserhähne für ein paar Minuten übernommen, damit sich in den Wasserleitungen keine Legionellen sammeln. Dabei entdeckte ich in der Damen-Toilette einen halbvertrockneten Gummibaum, der bisher sowohl den Blicken meines Kollegen Wolfgang, der anfangs die Blumen goss und von mir entgangen war. Der Gummibaum zog gleich zu den anderen Topfpflanzen in der Eingangshalle und wurde ins dienstägliche Blumengießen einbezogen. Heute sah er auch schon deutlich erholter aus.
Auch die Post hole ich im Dezernatsbüro ab, was mir auch einen kurzen Kontakt mit den Kolleginnen und Kollegen dort beschert.
Wie gewohnt Mittagspause kurz nach 14 Uhr – wenn der Hauptandrang vorbei ist, bei „Zeit für Brot“ und Rewe im Oeder Weg. Den Kaffee gibt es noch, aber zum Mitnehmen. Da ich in absehbarer Zeit Küchenrollen brauche und die in Bockenheim knapp sind, schaute ich noch bei DM vorbei. Die gab es dort, gestern war gerade geliefert worden. Sogar Klopapier gab es ! Und heute gab es im Nachbarschaftsforum eine Meldung, heute gäbe es beim Aldi in der Juliusstraße welches.
Dafür ist mir mein Krimi, den ich gerade lese verschwunden, ebenso zwei Masken, die ich vor ein paar Tagen gekauft hatte. Über das Phänomen gibt es einige Kurzgeschichten. Ein Science-Fiction-Autor denkt da an eine Falte im Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum, in der Gegenstände spurlos verschwinden – und dann irgendwann wieder auftauchen. Das gibt es auch: Eine Socke, die vor einiger Zeit beim Waschen verschwand, tauchte jetzt im Ärmel eines Hemdes auf. Und noch besser: Unter dem Waschtisch im Badezimmer tauchten vor ein paar Wochen zwei Rollen Klopapier auf ! Vielleicht ist das ja die wahre Erklärung, warum manche Regale dauernd leer sind :-))).
Bisher nutzte ich zum Einkaufen oft Gummi-Handschuhe. Jetzt entdeckte ich gestern im Netz einen Artikel, dass die wahre Virenschleudern – auch für die Mitwelt seien. Zumindest klang es so plausibel, dass ich heute darauf verzichtete. Die FAZ berichtete heute auch darüber, wenn auchlweniger dramatisch. Hier zu den Artikeln, um Euch selbst eine Meinung zu bilden:
In ein paar Tagen ist Ostern – und natürlich ist jetzt in der Woche davor Vollmond. Dieses Mal ist er der Erde um etwa 30.000 km (etwa 8 %) näher als onst und deshalb größer. Gestern war „Supermond“, allerdings wegen des frühen Mondaufgangs gegen 19 Uhr weniger eindrucksvoll als heute, als der Mond orange-rot wie sonst die Sonne aufging. Da war ich natürlich an beiden Abenden auf Fototour.

Dear friends and Bad Homburg readers,
back to the office after 5 weeks holidays. It is always some change to get back to the routine, but this time life is some more different: All of my colleagues with longer distances from home work at home office, and so I am alone in the whole office floor. According to the new situation I got some new special duties. Beside giving water to the office flowers once a week I open all water taps for some minutes to prevent legionella. It was good I did it immediately, as I discovered a lost rubber tree in the ladies´ room. So I moved it to the other plants in the entrance hall and let it join the weekly watering. It seemed to look some better today. 🙂
All day alone, the daily walk to department office to get the mail is some chance for a short meeting with the colleagues there.
Lunch break peak-off after 2 p.m. As usually I went to Oeder Weg to get some coffee at „Zeit für Brot“ and some food at REWE store. The cafe´is still open, but the coffee is only for to-go. As I will need some kitchen paper in a while, and it is also rare at Bockenheim, I had a look at local Oeder Weg drugstore. There had been a delivery, so I found my kitchen paper. I even would have had the chance to get the famous toilet-paper. And today there was amessage in my neighborhoods forum, it were actually available at local Aldi store. So don´t worry about that stuff.
Meanwhile there might be another explanation for empty shelves: I rememember some science fiction short story about the phenomen of suddenly disapperaring objects you can´t find anywhere – and then same suddenly appearing in some part of your house where you never put it. May be, even after years. I share this experiences:
Yesterday my books with a criminal novel disappeared, neither in at home nor in my bag nor in the office… And there was some sock some two weeks ago disappearing after washing, then appearing in the sleeve of my shirt the other morning… And I even discovered two rolls of toilet-paper in a hidden place of my bath-room some two or three weeks ago. So you can imagine, why all the shelves are empty: The storyteller suspects, all these objects disappear in a wrinkle of cosmic continuum of space and time … and appear suddenly days or years later at some other spot, when they have gone through!
Reading all the news stuff I found two reports of Focus and FAZ, that the use of rubber gloves were no helpful protection or prevention of virus, just the opposite, as the „Beasts“ could use the rubber surface as an omnibus. At least, the stories sound reasonable, and so I didn´t wear them in the shops today. Just good washing of hands as usual.
There is a Easter in a few days – and it is connected with the full moon in the days before. So also yesterday and today, and as moon actually is some 30.000 km closer to Earth (8 % of it´s average distance), it looks extraordinary great. It was even more impressioning today, as moon rose after sunset around 21:00 local time, while yesterday at 19:00 there was quite some daylight. Moon rose as a sun-like great orange ball from the fields near Ginnheim, when I took some pictures.
